About Edward Halcroft
Edward Halcroft writes about real crimes through the records they left behind: court transcripts, official inquiries and the reports that were filed and forgotten.
What arrives each week
One famous case. Told in under ten minutes, from the first crime to the last word in court.
The detail most accounts miss. The tip, the test or the mistake that changed the outcome.
The record. Sources you can check yourself: court records, inquiries and reporting.

The phone call the police recorded and never traced
